Recreational Facilities

A P Carter Memorial Park (1967) is largest park in the city's recreational park system.  This is a 25 acre enclosed park located on Park Loop Drive, Greenwood Street and Moeller Drive.  As for facilities at Carter Park there are:

Dotson Park (1955) is the second largest park in Bastrop.  It is located on Pugh Street, and at the end of Dotson Street.  Dotson Park covers 21 acres.  Its  facilities includes:

East Madison Park (1927) is the oldest park in Bastrop.  It is located on East Jefferson Street at Elm.  The 12 acres park includes:

Emilea Clark Park (1951) 6 acres donated by Emilea Clark has no facilities.

Martin Luther King Park formerly Forrest Park (1955) has 8.6 acres, is located at the corner of Forrest Street and Huey Street.  The facilities include:

Gladney Park (1960) located off Country Club Road is a walk thru park.
